- What is a tungsten carbide coating, and what does it do?
Tungsten carbide is a compound of tungsten and carbon, harder than steel and used where surfaces have to survive extreme wear.
Applied to Arc Vault, it gives the Onyx Black finish its scratch resistance and its depth of color, helping the wallet resist the wear of a pocket shared with keys and coins.
- How many cards does Arc Vault hold?
Up to 5 cards, each in its own dedicated slot. Four if your cards are embossed.
Heavily embossed cards are thicker, which reduces the count.
- How does the fan-out mechanism work?
A single press, and all five cards present at once, each in its own slot. Full visibility, instant selection.
Most wallets make you dig through half your cards to find the right one. The fan-out release was developed in-house over more than a year and is patent pending.
- Is Arc Vault RFID-blocking?
Yes. The full metal body blocks the electromagnetic signals used in RFID skimming from reaching your cards.
No separate RFID sleeve required.
- Does Arc Vault work with MagSafe?
Yes. An integrated MagSafe attach point snaps the Vault into alignment on the back of your phone.

Cards sit in dedicated machined slots, and the MagSafe attach point is positioned clear of the card faces.
Contactless payment cards use chips and antennas rather than magnetic stripes, and the full metal body shields those antennas rather than exposing them.
- Does Arc Vault carry cash?
No. Arc Vault is designed for cards. The full metal body is what keeps your cards RFID protected and the profile slim.
- What is Arc Vault Onyx Black made from?
